This weekend at the Eagles Youth Football Academy camp in Moorestown, New Jersey, young athletes had the chance to learn from the best, Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Thomas Booker IV. He jumped in alongside coaches to work hands-on with campers, focusing on the building blocks that create strong, confident players.
Booker emphasized just how crucial it is for kids to start with a solid foundation, “As a young kid I feel like playing football it is so important to get the fundamentals down,” he said. “That’s really what separates the pros from the guys that are really really good, so we are trying to get them right at a very very early age.”

He also noted how quickly the campers were responding to coaching and applying it on the field, “They are taking the tutelage and coaching really well.”
His love and passion for the game were felt by everyone on the field. As he ran through drills you couldn’t tell who was having more fun, Booker or the Little Eagles. From technical work to motivation, his visit served as a reminder that every great player starts with the basics and that with the right foundation, even first-timers can grow into confident athletes.
