At our June 22nd Moorestown World Champions Camp Series, the Eagles Youth Football Academy was proud to host another incredible camp experience, where young athletes came ready to grow, compete, and chase their dreams. But it wasn’t just about football. It was about community, purpose, and the people who make those dreams possible.
We were honored to be joined by former Eagles linebacker (1998-2004) and radio personality Ike Reese, who took a few moments to share heartfelt words with campers and their families. His message resonated deeply with everyone in attendance.
Before addressing the young players, Ike turned to the crowd and acknowledged the driving force behind every child on the field, their parents.
“Let’s give a round of applause to the parents out here,” Ike said. “It’s the parents that support those dreams. It’s the parents that cultivate a culture where these kids can prosper, be good citizens, and more importantly—be good people.”
He spoke from personal experience, recalling how his own mother drove him across cities and states to attend football camps, not fully knowing what future he envisioned but supporting him every mile of the way. That unwavering support, he emphasized, is what lays the foundation for greatness.
Turning his attention to the young athletes, Ike reminded them that the work they’re putting in now matters and that this camp is just the beginning of their journey.
“This is a great opportunity to come out here, get better at some fundamental drills, and learn something about playing the game of football,” he said. “But the thing I enjoy most is just being a part of this.”
He encouraged the players to stay hungry, stay humble, and continue showing up, not just for themselves, but for their teammates, coaches, and families.
Ike Reese’s visit was a powerful reminder of what our camps are all about. The Eagles Youth Football Academy focuses on football but more than that, we create spaces where kids can dream big, work hard, and build character. Together we are empowering young athletes to become tomorrow’s game changers.
